Simply enter your starting point and destination, and Rome2rio will show you all the available options, along with estimated travel times and prices.

7. SeatGuru

If like us you like to pre-select your seat prior to check-in, Seatguru will become your new favourite website when travelling. When booking your flight, sometimes the flight details will include the aircraft type that the airline is planning on operating for that flight (please mind that this will only be provisional and can change at any point before departure). Once you have found this information, you can compare the available seats (shown on the seat selection option of your booking) with what SeatGuru says about those seats. Seatguru will highlight to you seats that are misaligned with windows, within close proximity of the galleys (as there is greater noise and light - problem on night flights!) or even seats close to the toilet.  

8. Momondo

Momondo just like Kayak is one of our favourite go-to websites for flight comparison. The website is pretty similar to Kayak as Momondo is actually owned by Kayak. Momondo search results can be sorted from the cheapest, quickest, best (determined by duration, number of stops, carrier and price) or there is a custom build option (buying single fares). One feature we love about Momondo is the ability to see fare prices day by day as can be seen on the image on the left. 

9. Jack's Flight Club

For those of you who are continuously searching for discounted fares and sales, you will love Jacks Flight Club. The team at Jacks Flight Club are continuously scouring and monitoring the internet for low fares, price errors and sales. As the team is continuously working, members are quickly alerted to any deals that they find. In your mailbox you can expect fares from worldwide destinations, as members don’t actually search for specific flights, dates and destinations. This is greater for those adventure seekers. If you’re looking for specific flights, destinations and dates this probably isn’t a great service for you. 

10. KAYAK

Kayak is one of our most used websites. We love its ease of use and the ability to filter the search results through loads of different filters. We mainly use this website for searching flights. In the dates section, you can search for flights up to +/- 3 days of a selected departure and arrival date. If you more flexible, you can also search for a specific weekend, or over a month period.  As some airlines offer fares without any checked baggage, you can search for tickets bases on how many cabin bags and checked luggage you have. Other filters include: stops, take-off/landing time, airlines, alliances, airports, flight duration, stopover duration, price, cabin, stopover airports, flight quality (red-eye flight/transfers) and our favourite feature aircraft (narrow-body/wide-body including model type)
